Jan. 17		The first day of classes for Spring semester 2012.

Jan. 22		On Friday, January 27, at 11:30am, in the Southwest Room at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, the Dallas/Fort Worth Association for Business Economics (DABE) will host Dr. Harvey Rosenblum, Executive Vice President and Director of Research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. Dr. Rosenblum will deliver his annual "State of the US Economy and Outlook." Please RSVP to cehmann@aol.com by January 20. Guest fees are $35.00 and student guest fees are $20. Guest fees are payable to DABE and can be given to Treasurer, Michelle Driscoll, at the meeting.

April 18		AddRan Festival of Undergraduate Scholarship and Creativity

April 25		The TCU Department of Economics will host Professor George DeMartino from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver. Professor DeMartino will be this year's Green Chair in Economics and will give a public lecture on Wednesday, April 25, at 7:00pm, in Palko 130. The title of the presentation is "First, Do No Harm? Power, Uncertainty, and Professional Ethics in Economics". The lecture is free and open to the public.
